We gathered with 25 leaders from Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, and America at White Stone Retreat in south Serbia. In a beautiful mountainous setting, dotted with pavilions and tiny cottages, Serb, Roma, Albanian, Macedonian, and American studied leadership principles from the Bible, as well as the practices of the early church as told in the Book of Acts.
Some comments after the conference:
“I was inspired to give, not because I get, but because it is a blessing to give.”
“I was struck with the attendees’ passion for Christ. I want to see what is happening here, happen in Albania.”
“Thank you for your sacrifices to make this conference happen. I was most impressed by the characteristics of the first church. If we live these standards, we will see changes and better results.”
“When I see the state of the church in Macedonia it is obvious we need to change something, especially our investment in leaders who make disciples.”
“It needs to be our intention to make leaders who make leaders. What will happen after you? Create a mindset in them that they need to become disciple makers.”
“I was most impressed by the young men here. I watched one of them back when he was a young boy, and now I am watching his notes and discussing these topics with him!”
“We need to get back to basics — discipleship and evangelization!”
Shots from the conference. In the late evenings, after dinner, everyone gathered and the young men from Prokuplje sang and played while everyone sang along. It was a sweet, sweet time!
