The great commission is imperative for every disciple of Jesus Christ.
These past days, a group of believers from the USA came to Serbia and I am glad that I can be part of them. In the last nine days, we have had the privilege to visit home churches that we started, establishing disciples and developing leaders in south and north Serbia among Roma people. The Lord gave us the opportunity to meet people that will start new work in Pirot and five villages around this city that is on the border with Bulgaria.
We came today to the Serbian capital, Belgrade, to be with Dragan and Danijela, our leaders who are ready for a great harvest that we believe will happen in this city of two million people.
After busy days in north and south Serbia, Dragan and Danijela had a surprise for us. A boat cruse on the Danube River, where we could enjoy and refresh for the days that are ahead of us. On our tour we saw fortress Kalemegdan with statue of Victory that has its face directed toward Cer, the place where Serbian people had one of the greatest victories in their history. The Lord reminded me that our greatest victories are yet to come if we have our faces directed towards Him.
Tomorrow we are going to Obrenovac, the city that suffered the most from floods that hit Serbia last month. We will go to encourage people that lost their homes, sharing with them humanitarian aid and preaching the Gospel. Pray for us so that the Lord can use this situation for them to lift their eyes toward Him.
We have seen that the Lord is working and we have had great joy to witness nine people baptized and Roma from Muslim backgrounds coming to hear the Gospel.
Like the first disciples that left all and followed Jesus, I am glad that I have brothers and sisters from the USA that left their homes and have made the decision to spend their summer time to spread the Gospel!
Together we can do everything and anything that the Lord called us to do. That is the reason why Linking Partners have passion to go to places where we can – Teach the untaught and reach the unreached.
