Blessings to all. We wish you blessed holidays. Here, December was full of activities, just like others with sharing gifts. (The gifts Sasa speaks of in this blog post are the Christmas shoeboxes that so many prepare during the Christmas season! What a blessing to hear directly how those gifts impact lives around the world!) During the sharing of the gifts we visited 100 Roma families in two Roma settlements and we talked about opening of new house churches. (Note: in Serbia, Christmas is celebrated on January 7.)
At Selenca we moved to another house. We rented house which is empty and there we have services. Danijela visits people and calls all Roma people from surrounding to come to service.
We pray still to make new house church in another part of Selenca where Roma people live. Zuska and Stevo, which are going with me to Selenca always, and got on their heart to start a new house church with Slovakian people in Selenca, so in January officially we start with learning of Bible verses with Slovakians.
Kulpin is new place where last weeks we opened house church. Couple of Anita and Vladimir Nikolic are giving their best to come to Roma people in Kulpin and to get them to Christ, so together we visited all Roma families and gave gifts to children and called them on service. Almost all of them told us they will come, and we had chance to see one family which gathers 20 children and 8 growns in room of 25 square meters. That touched me. I was looking at Vladimir, how proudly he sits with children and looks at them with a lot of love. After sharing of gifts and visit, Vladimir told me: Brother, you know, I feel in spirit that in 2015 these Roma in my village will come to Christ. I started to cry.
Looking at Selenca, Kulpin, and other settlements I see huge need for real prayer for harvest. Now I completely understand Christ who said that harvest is big and workers is less.
New experience for me is that I was called by our local government to conference of towns and municipalites, to present them model of working with Roma people in church, and to give them base of the information of how many Roma settlements exist. On that meeting I had opportunity to meet some other representatives from other municipalities of this district. After my presentation a lot of them asked me if it’s possible to visit their municipalities and start to work with Roma there. Also the presenter gave me his email address and asked me to write him everything what we do.
In Zmajevo we had visited twice family which will open their home for house church. We are happy to work with them.
In Djurdjevo we had Christmas show with kids and sharing of the gifts where was 110 children to receive Christmas gift, and a lot of more parents. Situation there is stable now.
In Kucura, we had sharing of the gifts where for the first time we had been visited by local government and TV. Local TV showed our Christmas service twice. 300 children received their Christmas gifts, and a lot of them were for the first time at our service. In Kucura house churches are active again.
Thanks for your supports and prayers, Sasa.
