We had a great time in Novi Sad, fellowshipping with Rodja and his family for a few days before moving on to Prokuplje. We came to Prokuplje by bus and even managed to get off at the right stop, despite not speaking Serbian. Marijan and his boys met us at the bus station and together we made our way back to their apartment, where Slavica had prepared lunch (which was delicious, as always). Then, on Saturday, we had a prayer meeting in the evening with a few members of the church and where we worshipped together. On Sunday we visited Pastor Selim’s tent church in Leskovac. On Monday we helped Marijan and Slavica prepare for the Kid’s Club, which was supposed to begin that day but was delayed by rain. That evening we began the Multiply material with some members of the church, ending the day with a time of fellowship and study of God’s word.
Today we began the Kid’s Club in Zitni Potak. About 50 beautiful children showed up to sing and learn from the Word of God.
After an awesome time of praise through song, Caitlin began the story that we’ll be continuing over the next few days- 1 Samuel 1-4. We talked about how Hannah prayed and asked God for the desires of her heart, and we should do the same.
And, of course, what children’s class is complete without snacks? The children ended their time with us by playing a game (because come on, what is life without fun?) and getting to show their competitive sides as they raced to see who could get the most water from a bowl to a bottle using only a sponge.
Thank you for praying for us and continuing to support the work being done in Serbia. We feel your prayers every day as we do what God has called us to do, and we look forward to continuing to share this journey with you.
