Hey guys! We haven’t had a steady internet connection, here lately, but I wanted to give you a quick update about what we’ve been up to these past few days! First, thank you so much for your prayers as we traveled to Pirot!
It was a beautiful experience to be a small part of the beginnings of a church plant in that city. We received such a positive response and we were very encouraged as we left. Since then, word has spread throughout Pirot, and numerous people (who were not there originally) have expressed their interest in attending a home group there next time we have a meeting! This is great news; God is working in the hearts of the people there and we are expectant of great things to come. On Sunday, we attended church in Leskovac, where Marijan preached. It was a good day of fellowship and rest.
Yesterday, we went on a home visit to David’s parent’s house. I shared a passage from the Bible and Bethany gave her testimony. We then prayed for David and his family. They have been out picking cherries everyday for the past two weeks, despite their physical handicaps. Please, please pray for the workers out picking cherries here; the temperatures are so high, and merely walking around outside is brutal, much less standing in the sun all day working. Today was even hotter than yesterday, and almost everyone stayed home for safety reasons. It is a brutal job to have and does not pay well, but the workers are faithful in their service and work very hard it.
We are about to travel to Arandjelovac to spend time with Dragan and Danijela. We try to keep you updated as often as possible.
Thank you for your prayers and support, Caitlin.
